A recurring roundtable records a wide, two singles and separate sound. One camera restarts during an answer, and another editor will need the same recordings for the episode and a later cutdown.
How Stringout solves this
01
One camera restarts in the middle of the answer
The restarted single is a separate recording in the team project, aligned with the continuous wide and production sound. Its sync status marks where the restart needs review before the editor cuts to that angle.
Stringout groups two to four overlapping angles and marks uncertain alignment for review.
02
The best sound is on the separate recorder
Save the answer as a select with the checked boom or lav recording and its matching picture. When the producer changes the opening, the team goes back to the performance and the chosen sound together.
03
The later cutdown needs a different part of the exchange
Search the indexed episode for the guest’s later qualification and save it beside the first answer. Another editor builds the new version from those recordings and selects, with no second pass of sync or logging.
Hand the aligned source placements to Premiere, Resolve or Final Cut Pro for the cut. The editor makes native multicam and finishing choices there.
The result
Reviewed coverage the team can keep using
The editor opens a working sequence with checked picture and production sound in the chosen NLE. The episode’s answer and its alternate angles are saved in the team project for the next cutdown or revision.
